Some might consider visiting some of our lesser known
or lesser visited restaurants for some of their specials. Have any of you ever
had the crepes at Casa Blanca, on Hidalgo? the best in town. What
about Ole-Ole for aromatic fajitas and you can even order ostrich meat. Meson de San
Jose is one of the town's great secrets and has full breakfasts in pretty and
enjoyable garden setting with terrific salads and tangy garlic soup. Cafe Monte
Negro, on Correo offers a hearty-topped waffle and cappuccino breakfast
for 47 pesos.
Harry's all-you-can eat fried oysters Tuesday nights
beginning at 7 for 98 pesos. Thursdays, at Longhorn Smoke House, it's Filet steak,
baked papa and salad, for 100 pesos. Market Bistro has daily menu special and
Sunday buffet.
VIP participating home decor store, Inquisidor,
is having an off-site special warehouse clearance and liquidation sale with too
many items to mention in this space, so it's a must see up and the clearance
continues until Saturday, March 28 at Casa Santario, Cri Cri #26
in Colonial Guadalupe, at the corner of Tata Nacho. Clearance hours 10

Juan Luis Negrete, the singer, Wednesday, March 25, 9 p.m. Negrete's singing
style has been described as both elegant and harsh due to the sharpness of his
piercing lyrics. Cover $100.
VIP Club participating establishment D' Vino, San
Miguel's most intimate wine bar, in La Aurora has been hosting a terrific Thursday
night concert at 8 p.m. featuring Tenor Xavier Hernandez and pianist Enrique
Prado. $100 peso cover includes one drink.
